Overview

**DLP-160** is an investigational long-acting subcutaneous implant formulation of naltrexone developed by Delpor, Inc. using their proprietary PROZOR technology. The matchstick-sized device provides continuous zero-order release of naltrexone for 6-12 months, aiming to improve adherence in treating opioid use disorder (OUD) and potentially alcohol dependence. Naltrexone acts as an opioid receptor antagonist, blocking the euphoric effects of opioids to prevent relapse. It is reversible, allowing quick removal if needed, unlike non-reversible injectables like Vivitrol, and is currently in Phase 1 clinical development with a first-in-human trial (NCT05304364) evaluating safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics compared to oral naltrexone and Vivitrol in healthy volunteers.[1][2][3]
