Overview

DLX-159 is an orally bioavailable, non-hallucinogenic, non-dissociative tryptamine neuroplastogen small molecule developed by Delix Therapeutics. It acts as a serotonin 2B receptor antagonist and is designed to promote rapid and sustained neuroplasticity in select neural circuits. Preclinical studies have shown that DLX-159 increases structural and functional plasticity in prefrontal cortical neurons, leading to rapid and enduring antidepressant-like effects after a single dose in animal models. The compound does not induce hallucinogenic or psychostimulant effects at behaviorally relevant doses and has demonstrated a favorable cardiovascular safety profile with no signs of cardiotoxicity. Its primary indication is for major depressive disorder (MDD) and other psychiatric disorders[1][3][6].
