Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DLX-2270 is an orally active, brain-penetrant small molecule neuroplastogen being developed by Delix Therapeutics for the treatment of schizophrenia and related spectrum disorders. It functions as a 5-HT2A receptor antagonist and a 5-HT2C receptor agonist. The compound is designed to promote rapid and enduring neuroplasticity, including neurite outgrowth and the restoration of dendritic spine morphology, without the hallucinogenic or dissociative side effects associated with traditional psychedelics or ketamine. In preclinical models, DLX-2270 has shown the ability to reverse deficits induced by phencyclidine (PCP), suggesting potential for treating both positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia.
