Overview

dlx4os siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) *Dlx4os*. *Dlx4os* has been identified as a transcript associated with malignant melanocyte transformation and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in melanoma. In preclinical models, the downregulation of *Dlx4os* using this siRNA has been shown to alter the expression of EMT-related genes such as Snail1, Sox10, and Mitf, leading to the inhibition of cell migration in vitro and the suppression of tumorigenesis in vivo. This research was primarily conducted by investigators at the Federal University of São Paulo and the Harvard Medical School Initiative for RNA Medicine.
