Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DM004 and DM020 are seawater-based nasal pump spray medical devices developed by YSLab for the management of upper respiratory tract conditions. DM004 is an isotonic seawater solution (9g/L NaCl equivalent), while DM020 is a hypertonic seawater solution (21g/L NaCl equivalent). These products are designed to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, rhinitis, sinusitis, and rhinopharyngitis in adults and children from 3 months of age. They function through mechanical irrigation of the nasal cavity, which helps to clear mucus, allergens, and pathogens. The hypertonic formulation (DM020) provides additional therapeutic benefit by exerting an osmotic effect that draws fluid out of the swollen nasal mucosa, thereby reducing congestion and improving airflow.
