Overview

DM3159 is an oral small molecule drug candidate currently in preclinical development by DigmBio for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. It acts as a modulator of the tachykinin/substance receptor (TASR), a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) involved in central nervous system signaling. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that DM3159 exerts neuroprotective effects and promotes neurogenesis, distinguishing its mechanism from current Alzheimer's therapies. In the 3xTG mouse model of dementia, DM3159 administration resulted in significant improvements in cognitive function and spatial memory. As of early 2025, the company is conducting scale-up production and preparing for nonclinical toxicity studies following a successful Series A funding round.
