Overview

DMC-IH1 is an inhaled epinephrine drug-device combination product being developed by De Motu Cordis for the emergency treatment of anaphylaxis. It utilizes a proprietary dry powder inhaler (DPI) platform to deliver epinephrine directly to the lungs, providing a needle-free alternative to traditional intramuscular autoinjectors. In Phase 1 clinical studies, DMC-IH1 demonstrated rapid absorption, with plasma epinephrine concentrations reaching peak levels significantly faster than traditional autoinjectors. The product is being developed via the FDA's 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway and aims to provide a more accessible and rapid-acting treatment for severe allergic reactions.
