**DMG-Am** is an experimental N,N-dimethylglycine-amantadine compound developed by investigators at South-West University Neofit Rilski and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. It was synthesized as a potential adjunctive antiparkinsonian agent intended to combine the established N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor-antagonist activity associated with amantadine and the proposed antioxidant properties of N,N-dimethylglycine. In an MPTP-induced mouse model of Parkinson's disease, 12 days of treatment improved motor coordination and memory performance to control-like levels. DMG-Am has only been reported in preclinical academic research and has no established clinical use, approved indication, marketed formulation, or assigned INN.
