DMX-700

DMX-700 is an oral combination therapy being developed by Dimerix for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Identified using the proprietary Receptor-HIT platform, the drug targets the signaling of a heteromer formed by the Interleukin 8 receptor beta (IL-8Rβ) and the Angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R). By simultaneously blocking both receptors, DMX-700 achieves a synergistic effect that reduces lung injury and inflammation more effectively than inhibiting either receptor alone. Preclinical studies in porcine pancreatic elastase (PPE) mouse models demonstrated an 80% reduction in lung injury. The components of DMX-700 have established safety profiles in humans, potentially allowing for an accelerated transition into clinical trials.
