Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DMXB-A-SR is a sustained-release formulation of DMXB-A (also known as GTS-21 or DMXBA), a partial agonist at neural nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) with selectivity for the α7 subtype. It has been investigated for its potential to improve cognitive function and memory in patients with schizophrenia. The sustained-release formulation was developed to provide more consistent clinical improvement compared to the standard formulation by maintaining more stable blood levels over time.
