DNA Mosaic env vaccine is an investigational HIV-1 vaccine candidate consisting of DNA plasmids encoding bioinformatically designed 'mosaic' HIV-1 envelope (env) proteins. Developed by researchers at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the mosaic sequences are engineered to provide broad coverage against the high genetic diversity of global HIV-1 strains by incorporating common T-cell epitopes.
