Overview

DNK-651 is a virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine candidate developed by Denka (formerly Denka Seiken) for the prevention of norovirus infection. Noroviruses are a leading cause of acute gastroenteritis worldwide, and currently, no licensed vaccines are available. DNK-651 is designed to elicit a protective immune response against norovirus by mimicking the viral structure without containing genetic material. It is being evaluated in early-stage clinical trials in Japan, specifically investigating safety and immunogenicity via intradermal and subcutaneous administration routes in both young and elderly healthy adults.
