Overview

DNL422 is an investigational therapeutic developed by Denali Therapeutics for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. It utilizes Denali's proprietary Transport Vehicle (TV) technology, specifically an Oligonucleotide Transport Vehicle (OTV), to target and reduce alpha synuclein (SNCA) in the brain. Alpha synuclein is a protein implicated in the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease, and reducing its levels is a promising strategy for modifying disease progression. DNL422 aims to deliver therapeutic agents across the blood-brain barrier more effectively, addressing a key challenge in neurodegenerative drug development[1].
