Overview

DNL628 is an antisense oligonucleotide drug candidate developed by Denali Therapeutics for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It is designed to silence gene expression and inhibit tau protein expression, targeting the microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) gene. By reducing tau production, DNL628 aims to address neurodegeneration associated with abnormal tau accumulation in Alzheimer's disease. As of March 2024, it remains a new molecular entity in preclinical development[1][2][9].
