Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DNP004 is a preclinical-stage humanized monoclonal antibody targeting carbonic anhydrase XII (CA12 or CA XII). Originally developed by Dinona, the asset's development and commercialization rights were licensed to Aprogen (formerly Aprogen KIC / Aprogen Medicine) in 2018. Following Dinona's merger into KumhoHT in 2021, KumhoHT became the successor developer alongside Aprogen. DNP004 is designed to bind to CA12, an enzyme overexpressed in various solid tumors, particularly triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). By targeting CA12, DNP004 aims to inhibit tumor growth and induce antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) in CA12-expressing cancer cells. Preclinical studies in animal models have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing tumor volume.
