Overview

DNP007 is a therapeutic agent under development as an immunomodulatory drug targeting intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1). It is being investigated primarily for its potential to replace calcineurin inhibitors in the context of liver transplantation, aiming to prevent liver transplant rejection and treat nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. Mechanistically, DNP007 acts as an ICAM-1 inhibitor and immunomodulator. The drug is described as a humanized monoclonal antibody Fab fragment engineered from the MD-3 mouse monoclonal antibody and fused with the Fc region of human IgG1. As of April 2025, it has reached Phase 1 clinical trials evaluating safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity in healthy subjects[1][2][4].
