Overview
Do Your TONE Thing Microbiome Balancing Toner is a topical skincare product developed by DERMALA, Inc., a San Diego-based consumer dermatology company. The toner is formulated with the company's patented SE Microbiome Complex®, a proprietary blend of naturally-occurring prebiotics and postbiotics that target the skin microbiome (cutaneous microbiota). Its biological mechanism involves selectively killing *Cutibacterium acnes* (C. acnes), the bacteria primarily responsible for acne, while simultaneously promoting the growth of beneficial, acne-fighting bacteria. In addition to the microbiome-balancing complex, the product contains gluconolactone for gentle exfoliation and botanical extracts such as witch hazel, kelp, olive leaf, acai, and aloe to soothe the skin and restore its natural pH. It is indicated for individuals with acne-prone skin to improve skin tone and maintain a healthy microbial balance.
