This is an investigational combination therapy consisting of three agents: **docetaxel** (a microtubule inhibitor chemotherapy), **BMS-986218** (an investigational monoclonal antibody targeting CTLA-4), and **nivolumab** (a programmed death-1 [PD-1] immune checkpoint inhibitor monoclonal antibody). The regimen is being studied primarily for the treatment of **metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC)** in patients who have progressed after next-generation hormonal therapy. The proposed mechanism is dual or triple immunomodulation by releasing T-cell inhibition (via both CTLA-4 and PD-1 blockade) plus cytotoxic chemotherapy to induce immunogenic cell death and potentiate anti-cancer immunity. While docetaxel and nivolumab are both already approved in various cancer indications, BMS-986218 is not yet approved and remains investigational. The combination is being studied in phase 2 trials for its efficacy and safety in mCRPC and possibly other solid tumors[2][4][6].
