Each drug has a distinct mechanism of action targeting different aspects of cell division or DNA synthesis: - Docetaxel stabilizes microtubules and inhibits their depolymerization, disrupting mitosis. - Gemcitabine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis by incorporation into DNA and inhibition of ribonucleotide reductase. - Vinorelbine disrupts microtubule assembly by binding to tubulin, inhibiting mitosis. This triplet regimen has been studied in phase II and III clinical trials for efficacy and toxicity compared to standard treatments in NSCLC[1][2][5].
