This is a combination regimen consisting of three drugs: - **Docetaxel** is a taxane-class small molecule chemotherapy agent that disrupts microtubule function, inhibiting cell division and leading to cancer cell death. - **Goserelin** is a synthetic decapeptide analog of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH), acting as an LHRH agonist. It suppresses gonadal steroid production, resulting in decreased estrogen or testosterone levels, and is used as hormonal therapy in hormone-sensitive cancers. - **Trastuzumab** is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the extracellular domain of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). It blocks HER2 signaling and mediates immune destruction of HER2-overexpressing tumor cells. This combination may be used for the treatment of certain subtypes of breast cancer—particularly those that are both HER2-positive (for trastuzumab) and hormone receptor-positive/premenopausal (for goserelin)—and potentially other cancers where these mechanisms are relevant. Each component has distinct but complementary mechanisms targeting tumor proliferation via cytotoxicity, targeted inhibition, and endocrine suppression[3][4][6].
