This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of three agents: docetaxel, nedaplatin, and capecitabine. - **Docetaxel** is a taxane-class antineoplastic agent that promotes microtubule assembly and inhibits their disassembly, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells. - **Nedaplatin** is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic similar to cisplatin or carboplatin; it forms DNA crosslinks that inhibit DNA replication and transcription, resulting in cell death. - **Capecitabine** is an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), which after metabolic activation preferentially in tumor tissue, inhibits thymidylate synthase and disrupts DNA synthesis. The combination aims to leverage the synergistic effects of these agents for enhanced antitumor activity. Docetaxel plus capecitabine has demonstrated superior efficacy compared to single-agent docetaxel in metastatic breast cancer[1][2][3][4][5]. Docetaxel combined with nedaplatin has shown satisfactory clinical activity as first-line therapy for advanced squamous cell carcinoma[6]. The triple combination may be used experimentally or investigationally for solid tumors where multi-agent regimens are indicated.
