Docetaxel + trametinib is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents used in oncology. Docetaxel is a taxoid antineoplastic agent that promotes the assembly and stabilization of microtubules by binding to the β-subunit of tubulin, thereby inhibiting cell division and inducing cancer cell death[5][6]. Trametinib is a kinase inhibitor that selectively inhibits MEK1 and MEK2, key components in the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway involved in cell proliferation; it blocks abnormal protein signaling that drives cancer growth[1][4]. This combination has been studied for use in cancers with specific genetic mutations such as KRAS-mutant non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), where both drugs are administered together to target different mechanisms essential for tumor survival and proliferation[8].
