MM-310 is a targeted, antibody-directed nanotherapeutic developed as a liposomal formulation of a proprietary docetaxel prodrug. The nanoparticles are conjugated to single-chain variable fragment (scFv) antibodies that specifically target the ephrin receptor A2 (EphA2), which is overexpressed in many solid tumors. By targeting EphA2, MM-310 aims to deliver the cytotoxic agent directly to tumor cells while minimizing systemic toxicity. Preclinical studies demonstrated superior antitumor activity compared to free docetaxel and favorable toxicity profiles. It was investigated primarily for relapsed or refractory solid tumors including urothelial carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, ovarian cancer, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, prostate adenocarcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, triple negative breast cancer, endometrial carcinoma and soft tissue sarcoma. Development was discontinued in 2019.
