Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dog dander skin prick solution is a diagnostic allergen extract developed by Zhejiang Wolwo Bio-Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the in vivo identification of IgE-mediated allergic sensitization. The solution contains proteins extracted from dog dander (Canis familiaris), which are the primary triggers for allergic reactions in sensitized individuals. When administered via skin prick testing (SPT), the allergens in the solution cross-link specific IgE antibodies bound to the surface of cutaneous mast cells. This interaction triggers mast cell degranulation and the release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine, resulting in a visible wheal-and-flare reaction. This diagnostic tool is used to evaluate patients with suspected allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, or asthma related to dog exposure.
