Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DOL-002 is a research-stage, non-opioid Precision Pump Modulator (PPM) being developed by Dolinnov for the treatment of chronic pain. Utilizing Dolinnov's proprietary Lipid-conjugated Antisense Oligonucleotide (L-ASO) technology, DOL-002 is designed to target FXYD2 (FXYD domain-containing ion transport regulator 2), which encodes the gamma subunit of the Na,K-ATPase pump. FXYD2 is highly expressed in specific subsets of somatosensory neurons in the dorsal root ganglia (DRG) and plays a key role in regulating neuronal hyperexcitability. By selectively modulating FXYD2 in the peripheral nervous system, DOL-002 aims to provide long-lasting pain relief with high specificity and minimal central nervous system exposure, avoiding the side effects and dependency risks associated with traditional opioid therapies.
