Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ADC205 is a fixed-dose combination tablet developed by Jiangsu Aidea Pharma for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection in adults and pediatric patients weighing 35 kg or more. It is formulated as a single-tablet regimen containing three established antiretroviral agents: dolutegravir sodium (50 mg), lamivudine (300 mg), and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (300 mg). Dolutegravir acts as an integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI), while lamivudine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate function as nucleoside/nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). By combining these three mechanisms of action, ADC205 aims to simplify daily medication regimens, reduce pill burden, improve patient adherence, and minimize the risk of viral resistance. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in China.
