Domiodol acts by breaking down disulfide bonds in mucoproteins, thereby reducing the viscosity of mucus and facilitating its clearance from the airways. Additionally, it exhibits cilio-excitatory effects that enhance ciliary movement in the respiratory tract, further aiding mucus removal.
