Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Antoz DMF is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing the prokinetic agent domperidone (10 mg) and the proton pump inhibitor (PPI) pantoprazole (40 mg). Developed by Medicraft, it is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders associated with hyperacidity and impaired motility, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastritis, dyspepsia, and peptic ulcers. Pantoprazole works by covalently binding to and inhibiting the gastric H+/K+-ATPase pump in parietal cells, thereby reducing stomach acid secretion. Domperidone acts as a selective peripheral dopamine D2 and D3 receptor antagonist, enhancing gastrointestinal motility and accelerating gastric emptying while alleviating symptoms of nausea and vomiting.
