Dong-E-E-Jiao gelatin block (also known as donkey-hide gelatin or Colla corii asini) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) product manufactured by Dong-E-E-Jiao. It is prepared by soaking and stewing donkey hide (Equus asinus) to extract gelatin. In TCM, it is traditionally used to nourish blood, enrich yin, moisten dryness, and stop bleeding. It is indicated for blood deficiency, sallow complexion, dizziness, palpitations, insomnia, and dry cough due to lung dryness.
