Dormeasan

Dormeasan is a traditional herbal medicinal product developed by Bioforce AG (A.Vogel) for the temporary relief of sleep disturbances (insomnia) and mild anxiety. It is a combination of valerian root tincture (*Valeriana officinalis*) and hops strobile tincture (*Humulus lupulus*), formulated as an oral liquid tincture. While the molecular targets are not precisely defined, valerian is believed to modulate GABAergic and adenosine pathways in the central nervous system to promote sedation, while hops provide complementary sedative effects. The product holds a Traditional Herbal Registration (THR) and has been evaluated in Phase 4 clinical trials for non-organic primary insomnia.
