Overview
Doublebase Once is a once-daily, highly moisturizing emollient gel developed by Dermal Laboratories for the management of dry skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis, and ichthyosis. The formulation contains emollient oils, including isopropyl myristate and liquid paraffin, which create a protective barrier on the skin surface to prevent transepidermal water loss. It also incorporates the humectant glycerol, which actively attracts and retains moisture within the stratum corneum. This combination provides sustained hydration for up to 24 hours from a single application. Doublebase Once is designed to be free from common irritants such as steroids, fragrances, parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), and methylisothiazolinone (MI) preservatives, making it suitable for patients of all ages. It can be used both as a leave-on moisturizer and as a soap substitute to minimize skin irritation during washing.
