Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dove Sensitive Skin refers to a line of over-the-counter personal care products marketed for individuals with sensitive skin. The most common forms are the "Dove Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar" (a mild cleansing bar) and "Dove Sensitive 24h Invisible Solid Antiperspirant Deodorant." The beauty bar is a syndet (synthetic detergent) bar formulated to be hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and gentle on the skin. Its mechanism of action is based on mild surfactants that cleanse without disrupting the skin barrier and emollients that help maintain moisture. The antiperspirant uses aluminum-based salts (such as aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly or aluminum chlorohydrate) to temporarily block sweat glands and reduce perspiration. Both products are developed for daily use by people with sensitive or easily irritated skin[1][2][3][5][6].
