Overview

Dovelisib is an investigational small molecule inhibitor of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) currently being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL). It is primarily studied in combination with other therapeutic agents, including the hypomethylating agent azacitidine and the PD-1 inhibitor tirilizumab. The drug functions by inhibiting the PI3K signaling pathway, a key driver of cell growth and survival in various hematological malignancies. Clinical studies, such as those conducted at Tongji Hospital in China, monitor its efficacy and safety, often using p-AKT expression levels as a biomarker for pathway inhibition. While the name appears in clinical trial registries, it is frequently associated with dosing regimens (e.g., 25 mg BID) identical to those of duvelisib, suggesting it may be a variant spelling or transliteration in specific registry records.
