Azhaler-D is a fixed-dose combination medication containing doxofylline and desloratadine, primarily indicated for the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and bronchial asthma. Doxofylline is a second-generation methylxanthine derivative that acts as a bronchodilator by inhibiting phosphodiesterase (PDE) enzymes, which increases intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels and leads to smooth muscle relaxation in the airways.
