Doxophos

**Doxophos** is a patented nanoparticular formulation of doxorubicin, a cytotoxic anthracycline antibiotic, combined with Oasmia's proprietary excipient technology XR17 for improved delivery. Developed by Vivesto (formerly Oasmia Pharmaceutical), it retains doxorubicin's mechanism of DNA intercalation, topoisomerase II inhibition, and reactive oxygen species generation to induce cancer cell death, but the nanoparticle design aims to enhance efficacy, reduce cardiotoxicity, and improve safety. Primarily investigated for solid tumors and lymphoma in humans, with a veterinary variant (Doxophos Vet) targeting canine lymphoma; it is in late-stage development following submission for market approval.
