Overview

A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of doxorubicin (an anthracycline), ifosfamide (an alkylating agent), and vincristine (a vinca alkaloid). This combination is primarily used in the treatment of Ewing sarcoma and other sarcomas. The regimen works through multiple mechanisms to target cancer cells: doxorubicin intercalates with DNA and inhibits topoisomerase II, ifosfamide cross-links DNA strands, and vincristine binds to tubulin, disrupting microtubule formation and arresting cell division.
