This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of six anticancer agents: doxorubicin (an anthracycline), cisplatin (a platinum compound), cyclophosphamide (an alkylating agent), etoposide (a topoisomerase inhibitor), vinblastine and vincristine (both vinca alkaloids). This multi-agent therapy is used in the treatment of various cancers, particularly small cell lung cancer. The combination works through multiple mechanisms to target rapidly dividing cancer cells.
