Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of three distinct anticancer drugs used in breast cancer treatment. Doxorubicin is an anthracycline antibiotic that works by intercalating DNA and generating reactive oxygen species. Eribulin mesylate is a synthetic analog of halichondrin B that inhibits microtubule dynamics. Paclitaxel is a taxane that stabilizes microtubules and prevents cell division. This combination may be used sequentially rather than simultaneously in breast cancer treatment protocols.
