DP6-001

**DP6-001** is an investigational, first-generation polyvalent HIV-1 DNA-prime/recombinant-protein-boost vaccine developed to prevent HIV-1 infection. Its DNA-prime component comprises six plasmids encoding five diverse HIV-1 gp120 envelope antigens and one subtype C Gag antigen; this is followed by boosts with the matched recombinant gp120 proteins formulated with the saponin adjuvant QS-21. The regimen was evaluated in healthy HIV-uninfected adults in a completed Phase 1 study and elicited HIV-specific cellular and humoral immune responses.
