Overview

DPALM is a preclinical small-molecule drug candidate developed by Palm Therapeutics that targets the post-translational palmitoylation cycle of the NRAS protein. NRAS requires a cycle of palmitoylation and depalmitoylation for proper membrane localization and signaling; mutations in NRAS are frequent drivers in various cancers, including melanoma. DPALM is designed to modulate the depalmitoylation process, thereby disrupting the NRAS signaling pathways that promote tumor growth and survival. This targeted approach aims to provide a therapeutic option for patients with NRas-mutant melanoma and potentially other NRas-driven malignancies.
