**DPI-290** is a small molecule opioid receptor modulator designed as a bi-functional delta (**δ**) opioid receptor agonist and mu (**μ**) opioid receptor antagonist (DAMA), developed by Eboo Pharmaceuticals (previously associated with Enhance Biotech) for Parkinson's disease. It exhibits potent antinociceptive activity without inducing dyskinesia, unlike levodopa, and shows therapeutic benefit in preclinical models of dopamine depletion, potentially delaying the need for dopaminergic therapy and reducing levodopa dose escalation. The compound supports oral administration and has been manufactured for pharmacokinetic and efficacy studies in non-human primates.[2][5][7]
