Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**DPX-COVID-19** is a peptide-based vaccine candidate developed by IMV Inc. using the proprietary DPX delivery platform, which encapsulates synthetic peptide antigens derived from SARS-CoV-2 spike protein epitopes. It targets four complementary, non-overlapping regions on the spike protein selected for high immunogenicity and potential to block viral infection, attracting antigen-presenting cells to generate robust, durable T-cell and antibody responses without an adjuvant. Intended for COVID-19 prevention, it showed promising preclinical antibody responses after two doses and safety in related DPX programs like DPX-RSV, with plans for Phase 1/2 trials in 2020 involving over 600 volunteers across age groups.[1][2][3]
