Overview
DPX-E7 is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine designed to treat human papillomavirus (HPV)-related cancers, including cervical, anal, and head and neck cancers. It consists of a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 11 through 19 of the E7 oncoprotein from HPV subtype 16. The vaccine is formulated using the DepoVax platform technology, which encapsulates the peptide in liposomes for enhanced stability and immunogenicity. DPX-E7 stimulates the immune system by inducing cytotoxic T lymphocytes that specifically target cells expressing the E7 antigen, thereby promoting antitumor activity. The drug is being developed by IMV (formerly Immunovaccine), with clinical development support from Avid Bioservices and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute[1][2][3][4][5][8].
