Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DPX-flu is a preclinical vaccine candidate for influenza developed using the DPX (DepoVax) platform. This formulation packages inactivated whole influenza virus or recombinant hemagglutinin (rHA) antigen within the proprietary DPX delivery system. In preclinical murine models, a single dose of DPX-flu has demonstrated higher and more durable antibody responses compared to standard alum-adjuvanted vaccines and provided nearly 100% survival against challenges with multiple live influenza strains, including H1N1 and H3N2. The vaccine aims to induce robust humoral immunity with enhanced durability and breadth of protection across flu strains. BioVaxys is planning further studies to evaluate quadrivalent formulations targeting four flu strains[1][2][3][4].
