Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DPX-SurMAGE is an investigational cancer immunotherapy developed by IMV Inc. that leverages the proprietary DPX (DepoVax) delivery platform. This formulation incorporates HLA-restricted peptides from two tumor-associated antigens: Survivin (BIRC5) and Melanoma-associated antigen A9 (MAGE-A9). Survivin is an anti-apoptotic protein widely expressed in many cancers but rarely in normal adult tissues, making it an ideal target for immunotherapy. MAGE-A9 is a cancer-testis antigen frequently found in bladder cancer and other solid tumors. The DPX platform is a non-aqueous, lipid-in-oil delivery system designed to facilitate the uptake of antigens by antigen-presenting cells and provide a sustained release, thereby inducing a robust and long-lasting T-cell response. DPX-SurMAGE has been primarily investigated for the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC).
