Overview

DR-18–modified neoantigen-reactive T cells is an autologous cell therapy consisting of T cells that have been selected for reactivity against tumor-specific neoantigens and genetically modified to express a novel interleukin-18 (IL-18) variant, designated DR-18. This modification is intended to enhance the persistence, expansion, and anti-tumor activity of the T cells within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. The DR-18 variant is designed to be decoy-resistant, meaning it is insensitive to neutralization by the endogenous inhibitor interleukin-18 binding protein (IL-18BP). The therapy is being developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of The Second Military Medical University (Changhai Hospital) for the treatment of advanced small cell lung cancer (SCLC).
