Overview

DRG5-BD11 is a novel human bispecific IgM monoclonal antibody being developed by Longhorn Vaccines and Diagnostics (LHNVD). It is designed to target two highly conserved bacterial antigens: peptidoglycan and heat shock protein 16.3 (HSP16.3). By targeting these ubiquitous components, DRG5-BD11 exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, and mycobacteria. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling stage and is being positioned as a therapeutic strategy to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and treat sepsis. Preclinical data was presented at the ESCMID Global congress in April 2026.
