Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dropyal Evo is a preservative-free, sterile ophthalmic solution developed by Bruschettini for the treatment of alterations of the ocular surface, such as dry eye disease and corneal epithelial damage. It is a fixed-dose combination containing 0.15% high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate and 0.01% cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12), formulated with glycerin and sorbitol. Sodium hyaluronate acts as a lubricant and humectant, binding to CD44 receptors on corneal epithelial cells to promote cell migration, barrier protection, and wound healing. Cyanocobalamin provides antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective effects, protecting ocular tissues from oxidative stress and facilitating corneal nerve regeneration and re-epithelialization. The formulation is designed to restore the homeostasis of the ocular surface and is compatible with contact lenses.
