Overview

Dryello is an over-the-counter (OTC) topical antifungal treatment developed by ProPedix, utilizing the proprietary DryStik Technology Platform. The product is formulated as a portable, dry, deodorant-like stick containing 1% tolnaftate, designed for clean and mess-free application. Tolnaftate is a thiocarbamate antifungal agent that inhibits the enzyme squalene epoxidase, a key component in the biosynthesis of ergosterol. This inhibition leads to a deficiency in ergosterol and an accumulation of squalene, ultimately disrupting the fungal cell membrane and inhibiting growth. Dryello is primarily indicated for the treatment and prevention of athlete's foot (tinea pedis), with clinical studies showing a 90% cure rate within four weeks. ProPedix's pipeline indicates plans to expand the product line to address other conditions such as jock itch, ringworm, and cutaneous candidiasis between 2025 and 2028.
