Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dryello Extra Strength AF is a topical antifungal and antiperspirant combination stick developed by ProPedix for the treatment and prevention of athlete's foot (tinea pedis). The formulation combines tolnaftate 1%, a proven thiocarbamate antifungal agent, with aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex gly (AZTG), an antiperspirant agent. Delivered via ProPedix's proprietary DryStik Technology Platform, the product applies dry and stays dry, eliminating the mess associated with traditional creams or sprays. Tolnaftate exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting fungal squalene epoxidase, which disrupts ergosterol biosynthesis and leads to fungal cell death, while AZTG temporarily plugs sweat ducts to reduce perspiration and moisture that can otherwise promote fungal growth.
